Ceramic figurine bought here in France, of a Tour de France cyclist. Measurements are 34cms high 30cms in length. It once held some sort of liquer or cordial, and has a cork stopper.
On the base of the figurine it says 'Made Italy' and 'hand painted'. In the middle it looks like a crest with a crown on the top all contained in a circle.
We have tried to date it and have come up with 50's to 60's on looking at the attire worn by the cyclist. We have to date found no other like it and would very much like further information on it.

YES we know that as we have already put that in the information. We would like to know what year the figurine was made and which Tour de France it relates to.

      Why not Giro d'Italia?

Cyclist has older pedal 'traps' with straps instead of the modern cleat snap-in system. Bicycle frame has a modern design seen in the late '60s to '70s. Wheels have high number of spokes usually seen during this time. A yellow jersey signifies the Tour de France's overall leader.
