An incredible early trade card, sweet fob, and cool clock this week are tough acts to follow! But I'm going to take take a shot at it...
...with this early wood Coca-Cola thermometer.
Acquired for 60% book value delivered off an eBay BIN or Best Offer listing. Condition is incredible considering this is an outdoor sign. I don't think it's seen much sunlight or weather.
I carefully removed a fine layer of grime from the surface, indicating the piece has been sitting in someone's cellar or attic or garage for a long time. There are two paint drips on the face. With a loop I can tell they are original to the piece. Same paint, same age crackling.
It's common knowledge I believe in Coca-Cola Carma. Well, I think Edisonfan's thermo posting a couple weeks back rubbed off some good fortune. Happy to check this one off my list.
