Not knowing bikes I am not sure what year this engine is. I am not sure if this bike even runs as it has been there for years.

Now we are getting there! Lets hear from our Harley people.
Left hand motor case will have a serial #....example 26 JD 1012..... 26 is the year 1926... JD would be model and 1012 would be that one made in series
other side of engine, just below both cylinders should find #
Just relooked this, the other posting is a "JD" style Harley, this one appears to be something else. take a few more photos please, but again other posting is a JD
