    WE have and a late 1800 to early 1900 marble elephant table. It is our favorite and we wanted to find out who the artist was who made this table. There are no markings on it but if someone knows what or who made this table we would be very happy again as this is our grandmothers too. thankyou

      If the marble on this is real and not faux it is called black gold. It comes from Italy but they call it a different name. Sorry I am old and can't remember. I think this is a reproduction of a sultan's elephant end table. You need to keep in mind this type item has been reproduced for years in Pakistan and India. Most of it is faux marble and alabaster.
