I have the bullet that went thru my leg & wondering what to do with it. Anybody have any non-vindictive or obscene ideas? After taking out 2 inches of bone, it didn't make it thru the opposite side of my pants leg & fell into my boot & ended up under my heel. Trying to walk on it hurt about as much as the wound as my buddy got me out. A relief to find out later that the other pain was just the bullet under my heel! LOL!

What do you mean Jewels? My leg was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time & in the wrong situation! They say when you get shot, "If it's serious, it doesn't hurt". Well I figured I had the most minor wound possible, because it hurt like hell!! I won't tell, but will say that I have since tried to learn how to run faster than a bullet! (without success so far). The thing I did learn is, don't hesitate to fire first. I hesitated.
Ohhhhh I'm so sorry that happened! I don't know what to say to do with the bullet...?
I don't either. That's why I'm asking for suggestions. I keep it but don't know what to do with it? Surely somebody has an idea! What do you do with an old bullet that went thru you? Can't accept throwing it away, but what else? I'm the only one who cares & knows the pain it caused. Give me an idea.
Okay, here's some ideas: Have it set in ring or necklace, display it in a small cloche (because everything looks more important in a cloche), ohhh, I know gather up a whole bunch of special tiny things and make it into a "memory jug" <that's my favorite idea!
The cloche idea escaped me. I have thought about a clear acrylic thing that I can wear around my neck. Still doesn't mean anything to anybody except me. Never forget the pain that piece of lead & brass caused!
Cloche--Like a little glass dome that you put over something--I love them, I have them everywhere, makes it look important : ) I like your idea, in a little capsule that you wear--I like it, it will be a conversation starter : ) I can imagine the conversation... : )
If I were you I'd wear around my neck.Lucite for sure!!
Now, all I have to do is find somebody who can do it. On this Rock?
Maybe you can buy some clear resin and do it yourself? :)
Have a friend who makes jewelry & already emailed him but think he is in Curacao right now. I'll find a way.

Roy, you're getting close, back off! Just kidding. Good guess, as you do know I hail from AL. Luckily, all three of those times they missed me. Did get 2 blasts into my truck once while visiting the States. That's not kidding! Other men just don't seem to have a sense humour!

Roy, I don't count & tell. Well, I didn't get stopped about the 2 shotgun blast damage to the driver's door & the mirror dangling with buckshot holes, getting to the shipping port in Loiter-dale & no questions when it arrived in SXM. No jokes! LOL
I think we have enough here to write a book ...lol
