I have a pair of bronze, or bronze-like window screens. The side panels open but the center section does not. Can someone help me understand how or where these screens might have been used.
They are 3' x 4.5' and there are no latches on the inside.
They were saved from a salvage yard in Denver.

I'm leaning toward a window screen. The clover design and fleur-di-lis imply a religeos connection. Perhaps a church window covering.
These are such great artifacts, I can't imagine how they ended up in a scrap yard.
I would have these inside my home......
they would be beautiful for interior design....

I see this kind of windows shutter in business area in Quebec, st- peter street, where they use to have lot of Banking institution, at the gold era, 1860to 1950, later they relocated those Bank, and they land where you find this one, salvaged.
Those are probably from 1900 Art Deco style.
You will not believe everything I found in those bin, when I use to live there.
I love, love, love those.

But,,, don't excluded the church, they have lot of $$$$$$$$ to............... :D,,lol
