Found the great lamp at an estate sale in Damascus VA. I can not find any markings on it of any kind I would love to know the maker and age of it. Can anyone tell me anything about it??

might be under the pad it sits on ...;;; and check the plug for a name,. if its original..bottom side of shade ..nice arts and crafts lamp tho.
It's a slang glass lamp, looks to be brass...cannot tell from photo...could be copper as there looks to be some green on the metal (oxidized copper). Go to the Skinner auctions web site. They sell a lot of high end slang glass lamps. They will even verbally appraise it for you. skinnerinc.com

I just thought it was pretty. I feel that I may have paid to much..... $350....... Now my next question. Will I mess up the value if I redo the wiring and the bulb sockets with the chain pull for it. Where would you recommend to order my parts?
I have had 3 of these types of lamps that were from 1920's . Something about base I question . I can't see it clear and also all mine showed wear ? Just my opinion it is a repro ? Need more clear photo's of base and the cord .

Well I am on fence does it show any wear to painted area's ? The glass looks old and curved glass is expensive to make and replace so don't break a panel . Are the panels locked in place by a small flat tab ? and wold help to see the light sockets . Beginning to think it is real with more photo's you can always add some to a new post as 2nd part this post .
The panals are locked in to place by a flat tab. It is very heavy when I i have some help I will try to get some pics. I will post some pics of the sockets.
The paint does show some where.
Found a mark on the the bottom...made in Nippon.....Started smoking so we pulled the wiring and found this mark on the bottom part of the main vase..
It was made in Japan which under Mckinley law all items coming into USA had to marked by country or origin this act began about 1892 . Japan used this mark Nippon as the country of origin to avoid using made in Japan until 1920's Nippon then switched to made in Japan . I have seen later pieces than 20's saying "Nippon made in Japan" They added Japan to name . So your lamp is vintage and made in Japan .
