    I really do not even know how to categorize this item. I've never seen it or anything similar. It is made of brass and about 2and half investor to bottom. Really would love to know what this is.

      Hmm. I don't know that this piece is that old though. Unless it was preserved, I got the piece from a professor Henry Jannsenn who taught at the university California San Diego. I was fortunate enough to be on the work crew that was hired to get the property ready to sell.
