I believe the numbers stand for the year and the plant number were it was produced. Like 1917 or 1946*
*probably the right date
Thank you Roy
This is an Owens Illinois bottle, plant 17 Clarion, Pennsylvania, 1932-present And the 46 on the right side of the symbol is the date code, makes this a 1946 ACL bottle (Applied color label)
Duraglass means it was a better made bottle, and used less glass, as it was a more precisely made bottle.
Thank you Phantomd. Your knowledge is very helpful.
You're welcome, and I should have also pointed out the O with the Diamond is the logo for Owens Illinois, that is how I know who made that bottle.
