    When my grandfather got home from fighting in WWI he got a job with the US Postal Service as a mail carrier. He did that job for the rest of his working life. As you can see from these photos his career spanned from the use of horse and buggy all the way up to the "modern" mail truck...lol... I really like the one with the kids peeking out from inside his mail trunk. He loved kids and often gave them rides like that. He was a wonderful man and I'm very happy that I got to know him before he passed...

      Thanks Roy and Jewels! These are from long before I was born. My grandfather was 20 years older than my grandmother. She was his second wife. The horse and buggy pics are from the 1930s...
