I have several old scales. This is my other 25 pounder by "American Family Scales". I like the rough look this one has. What I really want to find is one of those huge tall red & yellow neat shaped scales that a person would weigh themselves on. It cost a penny and it would also tell your fortune and had a cool shaped mirror on the front. If I could find one of those in good shape and also an old "barber chair" made of steel and porcelain & leather I think my collections would be complete....... nottttt....

i have a scale similar to this one, they have any value other than enjoying the fact I have something neat. I'll get mine out and post it.
I'll check with my brother to see if he wants to sell his barber chair, its in mint shape. I see those scales around occassionally, I'll keep my eye out for you.

Those barber chairs are soooo heavy that if I get one, it's probably going to have to be locally because of the potential fortune it would cost to ship it. But I never say never on anything. On the scale, yes there are still quite a few of them around because of their durability along with the fact they were mass produced. Using them around the kitchen with all of the moisture, no doubt did them no good as far as their finish goes. Thanks for looking and for your comment.
