    One of six 16 pounder Rifled muzzle Field guns used by Volunteer
    South Australian Artillerymen used to travel along Military Road between Fort Largs
    Fort Glanville ,To Fort Glenelg Last of which never built.
    Gun Platforms were built on sand dunes to enable to defend
    beach , Towed by six horses with ammunition limber Two men
    ride on gun, two more on limber .three on horses .
    Range of guns over 1.000 yards.

      Really luv it! I have a 3"in 1863 Ord. rifle that I haven't seen for yrs.. Again, shunt rifling? Good system but could slow down loading at times.
