I purchased this a few weeks ago. Unfortunately whatever this has been carved out of is starting to crumble, so there are small pieces floating around under the glass. There is a foil stamp right smack in the top center that I can't identify, of course...
Does someone have an idea what this is carved out of ? Someone told me cork. Is it Chinese?
i'm not sure the material, but this is called a diorama.
I am just learning the "lingo". I've heard that word before. Thank you ho2cultcha. I'll write that down.
