    4 BL 6 inch 80 pounder guns . 4 Quick firing 3 pounder guns
    5 Gatling guns . 3 Quick firing 4 inch mk 111 guns
    2 Quick firing 12 pounder guns Small arm consisted of
    200 0.45 Martini-Henry rifles mk 1v. 100 breech-load revolvers
    100 cutlasses. and 30 boarding pikes.
    Served in chinese Boxer War and 1st World War as depot ship

      No kidding to save coal she was originally rigged as a topsail schooner.

      Quite common in those days because if your eng. went, you had not propulsion & that is bad.
