First of all, my son and i are both pickers, buyers and sellers of anything interesting or unusual. This item has us stumped, it's made on silver and stainless steel and is made in a very unique and detailed way. I hope you can give us some answers as to what it is. I was thinking it may be tied to some kind of witch craft or cerimonial ritual.[House of Relic's]

I have a brooch similar to this. My research says could be from the states of Michoacan, Oaxaca, Puebla regions in Mexico. I can't find an exact match for your or my piece - but I know they have historical significance to metal crafts in Mexico.
