very neat estate sale find,..signed hand painted face 8 day movement (i think ) ask me in 7 days face of clock is approx 4 inches across, snagged for 35 bucks ,.hard to figure out value on it,..has the back i took it off to photograph back of movement,..nice thick beveled glass face ,.surrounded by what feels like velour ,..fuzzy velvety stuff only damage on the clock is the cloth hinge of the back has given way,..was probably used as the easel to stand it on a table but for now,..till i figure out how to replace the cloth hinge its a wall clock anyone have any info on Imhof clocks? from what im seeing its along the lines of LeCoultre type quality ,.i know the painting is amazing on it,..
Oh on another note im thinking it was always in this frame,..i didnt know it till looking it over now that the frame,.real wood probably hand made? ,.is actually asymmetrical the sides each have a flourish kinda dealie thats normally in the middle ,..offset to center on the clock lil odd detail i should have noticed,..hehee been a picture framer for 20 years i should a noticed
