    Cheney trunk. Blue trunk. Not sure the year this trunk was made. Wonder how one would restore something like this.

      The luggage tag can sometimes tell us the time period that it traveled.Thus giving us a general idea of the trunks age. This one
      is British Railways , Bournemouth west. which operated for a long period.( goggle it)
      The station operated from the late 1800s to 1967 the sticker may give more clues but it is hard to read from the pictures. good luck with this british made trunk.

      Drill thank you for the extra info. Any tips as to how to restore the trunk? Or do you think I should leave it "as is"?

      I have refinished one of these -- taken off the exterior canvas and was quite pleased with the result.... hard to say how difficult this one would be just by a visual... depends on how the canvas was treated... good luck however you may wish to tackle it... a good cleaning with some warm soapy water and a clean cloth helps a lot too!!
