I was ready to repaint and gift this piece for an 18 year old kid's first apartment. Then I noticed the writing on the back: GR Bookcase & Chair Co. Hastings Mich.
For fun, I Googled the company and found astonishing info about the craftsmen of that period. However, I cannot find specific info. Would appreciate knowing more from the experts out there.

Forgot to add that the drawer pulls are made of wood.
