You should have seen my face the day I found this setting by the appartment dumpster, crazy thing i let it sit there for over twelve hrs befor going back to really check this thing out. Wow, was i suprised to find this date stamped a so more then complete piece in the trash. Feb.3 1954 was the stamp in it. It also had this cheese cloth type covering and another covering that went from foot of carriage to the folding hood. The real winner to me was there was also the top vaule gold stamps (witch I beleive to be given at time of original purches), the original sticker from the store (H&S Pogue Cc)of cincinnati, and a state of Ohio bedding stamp(sealed and water marked). I did quite a bit of reserch on the piece and was very pleased with all my findings. I know were the carriage was built, were it was sold and alot of history about that company,I now know a little more history of the trading stamps that have long since vanished from our stores, and a little (very little) history about the state bedding stamp.
Over all I believe I made a great find here.
