I really don't know why I bought this pin! It caught my attention even though it is not what I usually buy. I like big pieces because I am always misplacing everything. This is a rather small brooch. I liked the craftsmanship and I recognized the name, but I thought is was a costume piece. So when I came home I thought that I wasted a few dollars because I am not going to wear it. I decided, however, to check it out anyway and was positively surprised that the pin is 14k!
Sometimes nice things come in small packages.

Thanks so much for your comment, idcloisonne. I did the "tooth test" and I think the pearls are the real thing:) I have a bit of modern pearl jewelry but I must say they these ones here have a much nicer sheen. Too bad it doesn't show on the photo.
