Strange Signed Sterling Silver Carrot

Hello,
I believe I have a Sterling Silver Carrot. At least it looks like one. It measures approximately 2 7/8" long and weighs 7 grams. I can't make out the markings but this is what I can make out. It reads "M.Trus" and another letter after that. There is a number like 972 or 872? It is marked sterling. This is from an estate in Florida. It is very strange and I have never seen anything like it. Does anyone have any info on these? Or info of the maker? Was this a pendant or something else?
