    This lovely hand drawn sketch of a partridge was nicely framed by previous owner. It is the same owner as the marriage document that I posted. I think the date as May 1, 1883. I uploaded two photos and tried to enhance the colors for easier readability. It might have something to do with the couple in the marriage certificate. Any guesses?

      It's a Distelfink and in Pennsylvania Dutch folk art documents known as Fraktur it represents happyness, a traditional symbol included on wedding Fraktur.

      BIG NOTE & QUESTION: I'm baffled. The ink, script writing, date etc makes complete sense but something doesn't ring right with this document. The paper has vertical bluish lines. The left margin has a purplish double line. The paper size is approx. 7.75 in X 8.25 in. Did this sort of paper exist in 1883?
