Unusual 45 rpm records. A give-away and two that ,I believe , came on cereal boxes.

Man - blasts from my past! My family always watched the Red Skelton show together each week - I of course bought Archie comic books with my 25c weekly allowance - if only I would have saved them! And I loved the Davy and the Monkees, watched all the TV shows, bought the 45s, and I acquired (as an adult) a Monkees tambourine, and 4-headed talking hand puppet.

very cool! so these are paper souvenir imitations of records? or were these designed to actually be played?
  3. Savoychina1 Savoychina1, 22 months, 15 days ago
Yes, these are designed to be played on your phonograph. Of course don't expect one of "Ramma's" lilting dissertations on the quality of sound ! LOL

very cool. i imagine they wouldn't survive long if you actually played them...

Wow, I had totally forgotten about these kinds of records. You can kind of see the playing surface when you enlarge the picture. Was there some kind of plastic or vinyl coating over the cardboard? I use to have a few of these, but I can't remember what they were at the moment. This calls for more investigation. Great post!

Wow! I remember these! I once got one off of an old cereal box as a kid. Thanks for sharing!
