This amazing coffe set was designed in 1954 by prof. Franz-Josef Karl.

It's funny but the first bit of information I've found about him comes from Collector's Weekly, when GTMOOM shared a little vase eleven months ago, so here's the link to it: http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/110313-prof-franz-josef-karl
I was quite surprised he worked for a Spanish company during 1950 and 1953.

The main features in ths set are the funny legs in every item -except for the plates, of course!- and the oval shapes, specially on the coffee-pot, sugar bowl and creamer, both of them giving the set its unique look.

Although the most common decors are white and black -in both variations with black or white background-, this was made in all kind of decors. So far I've found it in white with gold accents, the same whiteand gold with floral decor and an amazing blue background with silver overlay decor (pretty much in the style used for some pieces of Lötz glass, just like this one http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/106912-franz-hofsttter-vase-ltz-1911-new ). I think I should add some images of these different decors, but I think the four pics of the set I've just added are necessary here.
