    Made in Japan, and thanks to AzTom, I now know its made by Hayashi , in decent shape, and still has the working retractable hose at the rear!

      Nice! The makers mark is at the rear of the tank on the left side.

      Hard telling, that is just the license plate they decided on. Post a close up of the mark and I'll see if I can help.

      Ok, now I see it Tom! The old eyeballs aren't what they once were!
      I never noticed that mark!
      It does say made in Japan, the number 663 under that, and an H, surrounded by arrows in the shape of a diamond.
      Sorry my camera can't even capture the detail.
