I found this small leather covered trunk at an auction. All of the leather and handles are intact. It is embossed, but hard to make out in the pics (it has small rosettes embossed into the top). It's in amazing condition for it's age though. I do not know the age or origin, but would love to know more about it. Does anyone have any info on this one? I would assume it would have been a child's trunk, due to the small size. But, not sure about that.
In my opinion it is small travel trunk, not for child but could have been used as one. I would place it sometime in the 1860's.
