These are some of my favourite Claret Jugs which i have in my small collection.
1, a fine Loetz Claret jug - Art Nouveau about 1899
2, fine pair of Hunt & Roskell Jugs , London 1843
3, a group of London Claret Jugs about 1835/40 - all London
4, silver-gilt Jug by Charles Edwards, London 1989
I have been collecting these silver mounted Jugs for more than 20 years now - many of them i found on Ebay.
At the moment i have about 400 Jugs - ( most of them are english but i also adore french or austrian jugs )but the most interesting thing for me is to maximize the quality and not the quantity.

Actually i am collecting with passion and sometime with patience as well - and if somebody would ask me " whats your top favourite jug ? " .. i think i would answer : " The next one which comes along ...."

American Brilliant Cut Glass Guy
I was wondering if you could look at a piece I have. It is not a claret but a European 800 silver Decanter. I come to you as I saw you expertise in European items. I know American Brilliant Cut glass but have no idea on European items. Value wise i have heard from 175.00 to 600.00.
