Sitting on top of a tin house and I am thinking 1950s. Also it was made in Japan.
A bit over 11 inches tall with control selection switch on the back of the chimney.
It is supposed to work with batteries and/or coin. Currently it is not working but I got it at a good price so that is fine.

Thank you very much Jewels. The 50s were a great time for Christmas décor.

The fixing shouldn't be too hard, it's the getting inside that's tricky, right?

Thank you very much shareurpassion. I got the switch to turn. It could just need batteries. I remember when D Batteries powered everything now they are antiques.
