My father just passed and he left me this hammer. I would love to know the model, maker, and year. I can't make out the name on the bottom or find any info online. Thank you from a grieving son. Anthony

I can't tell you who made this but I can tell you about the person who used it. Look at the butt end....see all the battle scars? Some things don't require a strike by a steel head. A person with some smarts uses the butt end of their hammer, whether it is a wooden handle, fiberglass or padded. Your father used his head to protect the finish of his work. I tip my hat to your dad.

I got the made in the USA part. Can anyone make out the manufactures name or the stamp BO or BG on the head. Bluegrass and plumb have hammers that are the same color and shape but the name on the bottom clearly is not either one. Also thank you for the condolences.

I didn't intend to be nice, I intended to be honest. This hammer has a fiberglass handle and is not worth as much as the man who used it. I respect the owner not the hammer.

Right, it was an honest response and that was nice :)

There are a couple photos here: http://goo.gl/mPF04P with the same color grip and shaft that suggest that it is a Bluegrass hammer. They were made by Belknap Hardware. I don't believe they are still in business. It's a general purpose curved claw.

Welcome Anthony. Sorry for your loss.

It looks like the side of the hammer may say BLUEGRASS and under that WEAR SAFETY
      GOGGLES

As stated above it fits the Bluegrass line.
Wet your finger and rubber over the print.
