It's 34w, 25h, 20d- highly domed with a faint "G.L." On the side and what appears to read "PAT'D MAR 69 & APR 77" with 2 stars on the lock

You have a lovely 1880's zinc covered trunk. Without a label too hard to know who would have made it -- just too many companies at the time. Fine steel wool will help shine up the zinc exterior. They only made zinc covered trunks for about a 10 year period. You would have to look on your local classifieds to get an idea of value....
Lovely trunk and thanks for the post and Welcome to Collectors Weekly!

Drill -- not wrong at all -- it is canvas covered -- just did not pay attention to detail and the 3rd pic is pretty clear -- sigh -- apologies to Nico617 -- I have a similar trunk that is zinc... Good call Drill..
