A friend passed away and I got his old bike. I"m thinkin' schwinn, but cant verify. the serial No. <>9<> 469814. The front tire is a metal clad wood the back isnt. I would like to restore, modified, but wouldnt want to if this is a REAL old bike. Notice the two front sprockets? I have some more rims that were with it, metal clad wood fronts and one rearthat is made by eclipse maching co. and some patent dates with the latest Aug 24 1909, and Morrow on the brake arm. I would ride as is but the front tire tube doesnt hold air, yet. The tire is a United States No. 76 giant chain tread . So my query is is it too old to put new rims rechrome all the shiny stuff and repaint the frame, or what? Thank you Todd
