This is an amazing stackable solid sterling shot (maybe saki) glass set. Each cup fits in the next and finally closes inside a solid sterling case. It has an amazing patina with hand etched flowering on the side. Im not sure who or where it was made. My great grandfather was a well traveled Delta pilot so it could be from anywhere. I have looked everywhere and have never seen anything like it. Each piece is stamped Sterling 970.

Two things would suggest Japanese origin: the etched blossoms, and the 970 (970/ 1000) silver content which is higher than the 925 sterling standard.
