I found this small rocker (nursing rocker? at a thrift store. It had been stripped of the previous finish and is quite lovely. It's quite small, top of the chair back is 33 1/2" high, and width across the top of the back is 17". The panel in the back has a lovely inlay design, and I haven't found images of anything like it. I'd love to know something about it if anyone can help.

      PhilDavidAlexanderMorris,
Thanks! Do you think the chair is from the Nouveau period? I haven't seen anything with this general design, even without the inlay. But perhaps I can narrow my search to a period...appreciate your comment!

I have a feeling it ended up at Goodwill because the owner didn't know what they had and perhaps gave up on it before completing the refinishing or discovered that it was not going to be worth much when they were done; but I have a set-designer friend who knows a lot about furniture history and design on the case now as well.
