5 cent peanut machine

This is an old peanut machine i believe. it should be from around the 1920's or 30' or40's at least i think it was used as a peanut machine. any information i can get on it will be welcome. also it has a key knob on the back to unlock it i lost the key but don't know if its worth taking it to a locksmith to see if he can open it and make a key. any infermation on it and it's approxmate value would make my day. thank you
