Hello all! I have a rather unique item I am not sure exactly what it is, so I am looking for some help. My grandfather was a sailor during WW 1. From what I understand, his ship was stationed in Puerto Rico & was also called upon for convoy escort to/from Brest, France. He picked this item up somewhere and it had been kept wrapped in a cloth in the attic for years before being mounted to preserve it. The item is made entirely of seeds - two diff colors and (I think, 3 different seeds - popcorn 'beads' on edges.
Any clue on what this is, where it's from & kinds of seeds used?
Any help would be great! Thanks for your time!

Might be Apple seeds? I have seen Apple seed necklaces that look similar--not sure about the black seeds though
