I've just gotten interested in Bakelite jewelery/accessories. I have 2 different style buckles, and 1 button. I think my favorite is the 2 piece buckle. It was my first piece, and I love the deco style. The marking on the back says Made in Germany, but no date. For some reason,I can't get a really good picture of the button, no matter how I light or move it. The brown buckle is nicely carved. Thanks for looking.

My daughter would like you, she is into art deco items and bakelite. I'm always on the look out for her for bakelite.
Your 2-piece buckle is probably celluloid - and wonderful! Marked Germany before there was an East or West. Try to store it in a plastic baggie or in face tissue - sometimes the edges will curl if you live in a very humid part of the world, metal may oxidize. The brown buckle is bakelite and I think your button is too.
