Not sure what I have here. What do you guys make of this? The hatchet is in great condition, and has not been sharpened. The handle is firmly attached with only slight wiggle.

Referred to as a "Half Hatchet", hence the hammer head on one end, and hatchet blade on opposite end.

I'm confused again. I thought that the name "half hatchet" meant the flat top of a hatchet/hammer that was used next to the ceiling, that looked like half of a broad hatchet
It is a shingle hatchet for cutting and laying wooden shake shingles.
If you look at picture #1 you will see the bevel where it is sharpened, however the under side is also beveled and sharpened back to the nail puller notch. Sharpening the underside makes splitting a shingle a simple downward pull. This type shingle hatchet is only sharpened on one side to cut. The other side is left flat to provide a clean edge.
