Help!!! I found this in a old building and have no idea what is is. I could not find anything online about it. I posted it on Etsy at one point and never sold it. It looks very old, there is a name imprinted in the third picture, just can't make it out enough to do more research. Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated. Thank You

      ?? not sure......Guessing here?? -- could it be J & G MEAKIN ??

Looks like a couple letter in the beginning......can you post some more pics maybe at an angle under bright light.....then try another with a flash on.....

Again -- just a guess above as hard to make out...

It does look like the J & G Meakin mark - just the J did not impress. The incised mark was used 1851-1890

Yes it does say something "MEAKIN" I can not tell what the first 2 letters are. Of course I can not get a better picture that is the best on I came up with. Thank you for your replies. Any one know anymore information about it. Where I could find more info about it. Thanks again
