i've only seen this wonderful pink sand near Andrew Molera State Park in Big Sur. i'm not sure what makes it this color, but i always collect some when i go to use in my incensarios. Happy New Year everyone!

thank you for that info aghcollect!! the Sta Lucia Range - i spent almost every wknd there for a year and a half - a few yrs back. it's one of the most remote locations in California and i love it there.
walksoftly - an incensario is just what i call anything i burn incense in. i think it's a spanish word, but i may have made it up myself!
