    Any info on this would be greatly appreciated!Found in trash many years ago!! Bowl diameter is roughly nine inches and height about 4inches.

      Your very welcome paulmartin!! why it would have the insert , maybe to prevent from any damge of the inside or it was used many various reasons, could be a number of reasons.

      I was looking at this a few days ago and tried to find something similar, I think personally it is more 'Arts & Crafts' than Art Nouveau' and wondering if it may be a serving dish, the inside was hot maybe from having cooked with it and kept inside which enables to keep it warm....just a thought....:-)
