Ejection Seat Wind Tunnel Test Model

This is a Scale Wind Tunnel Ejection Seat Model of the 4th Generation Ejection Seat by McDonnell Douglas. This is a much newer seat design, ca late 1990's +.
The seat included arm netting for anti-flail and a wind foil above the helmet to keep the head steady. The biggest improvement was in the propulsion and guidance. It was capable of zero-zero ejections and low level inverted escapes.
This model is about 23" tall and solid aluminum, cast in one piece! It weighs 74 pounds.
