This is a beautiful 14" pewter plate/tray with a dragon and flower pattern ,
i think its quite old as iits worn in places & has a folded rim !!
The whole of the top of this plate/tray is engraved in pattern ..
the base is marked -
KUT HING
PEWTER
SWATOW
-along with two lots of Chinese marks which i dont know (possibly maker & factory)
Ive had this quite a while now and came across it whilst putting away the christmas decorations in the loft , so thought I'd list it to see if i can find out anything about it !!!!

I have found some kuthing pewter on line it appears they were made
in 1800 to 1900 found tea pots spice caddy and tankards
Swatow is now called Shantou. Dragons on most of them.
yours could be a lest hundred to one fifty years old.

Interesting to se your KUTHING PEWTER SWATOW, I HAVE ONE WITH MILK AND SUGAR BASIN WITH LID BECAUSE OF THE AGE SOMETIMES VERY DIFFICULT TO SEE THE DRAGON and age it. It looks original. They are often very heavy one and half kgs. Does yours have that weight. Good luck
