I'm horrible when it comes to IDing glass. Everything looks great to me if it's interesting and well made. I think this is Murano it looks similar to pieces I've seen online. Not quite as fancy as some though. A peasant girl holding a rooster done in gold speckled glass. I believe the term is "adventurine". It's about 12" tall and quite heavy with the skirt being hollow inside. Everything else appears to be solid. There are no marks or labels. I noticed a bit of wear to the bottom edges of the base so it may have some age to it. -Mike-

Others with more knowledge will confirm but she looks Murano to me - but maybe not Barovier and Toso! She is beautiful.

Thanks Karen :) I saw the Barovier and Toso ones. They seem to be a bit more fancy and colorful than my country girl . Amazingly no chips or breaks either.I got her for next to nothing so there will be no major disappointment if she's not Murano.

I would say Murano with what looks to be adventurine flakes in it

Maybe Barbini? As here are some Barbini Figurines with a similar *flat thick bases* on them too (Svazzo items).......maybe:

Thank you Rose for the link and the confirmation. I was fairly sure it was Murano too :) Now I just need to confirm the maker .

Hey Mike... I knew I had some pics of a similar figurine somewhere. Although not exact, she shares some of the characteristics as yours.

This didn't really work. I thought it would be one link, but instead I got individual images. You can still cut and paste. Sorry.

Thanks Rick it's fine :).... The image files work through my e-mail notification. Yes that is very close. What web site did they come from ? Was it a store or ebay ? I've been trying to find info about who the exact maker might be. -Mike-

No Mike, these didn't come from a website. They are pics I had of a figurine that I had but since sold and uploaded to a picture hosting site. Unfortunately, I don't have any info as to the maker.

Frankly Mike, the unattributed pieces aren't bringing that much at the moment.
