Hello, my friends. I just received this item from a family member and looking for some information on it. It's very heavy green glass; approx 10". Is it a bowl or ashtray? Maker and time period?
    Any help is greatly appreciated

This was made by Fostoria, and often mistaken for Blenko.. Called a PARTY ASHTRAY, because it can hold so many cigarettes or cigars at one time.. It measures aabout 10" Across and made approx 1940.

Wish I could revise the last post, but wanted to add that these ashtrays were made in Sets of 3 graduated in sizes to fit inside one another..
