    I don't know anything about this, would just like to know some history. It is obviously German . There's not much more I can say about it as I know nothing about it myself . It was left from a man who lived to be 100 years old.

      This is a promotional tool.
      It looks like it"s from a company that machines crankshafts etc. The crankshaft on the side looks like it's diesel crank (or possibly another 2 stroke although the crank is too big for a motorbike) so they might do this stuff for a truck manufacturer.
      I doubt it's earlier than 1950s but beautifully designed.

      I love the intricate design quality of your knife! I found this Company, in a 1905 US Dept. of Commerce, and Labor book, and here is a quote from it: "Haniel & Lueg who employ 2000 men, and make all kinds of Engines and Machinery". The actual maker of the knife itself should be easy enough to find, as yours has the blade stamp marking. I cannot read it on my computer, so what does it say, if you will?

      Thank you for your comments. Wayne, the writing on the front : Haniel&tueg . Maschinen-Fabrik, Eisen stahl-work. Dusseldorf grafenberg. On the reverse are the words : Schmiedeslucke, stahlformguss, 50000 kg stuck gewichl. Once again I thank you for your comments

      Hello Von: I was asking for the markings on the "Knife Blade Itself". In your picture #2, the longest blade, and on the right hand side, has Markings on the blade, opposite the blade tip, and closest to the knife body. Most of these Promotional knifes were contracted out to a knife maker, and this is where they usually put their name and or model #.

      Hi Wayne, I actually didn't see the markings, just thought it was scratches on blade ! Anyway from what I can make out , it says : Justus Bierhof - Hugs-Solingen. Thank you for your knowledge .
