Most people are not aware that the Shell Oil Company is the "Life Saver" of the oil business for most of the world. It was Shell that decided to invest in deep water drilling techniques that revolutionized the Industry. After they spent a fortune in research and finally pioneered the new process, they freely shared their new knowledge with other Companies who have successfully used them to open up oil drilling in many parts of the world. BP was a company going broke until Shell brought them in & taught them how to drill in deep waters. They are now one of the "big Fish" in the seas.
This new Shell strip sign is from the 20's & came from New York. Soon it will go up on a building, but for now it looks great in front of our Sinclair Station. Check it out at aaaLakesidestorage.com or come by & visit our FREE museum. Shell had a dream and did what was necessary to make their dream come true. Keep Dreaming America! Dreams combined with time & effort do come true! After all, this is America where anything is possible!

I have the same sign! Very cool!
Is the frame around the border metal or wooden? Original frame do you think? Mine has none.

Frame is a wood frame and not original but very helpful in keeping the sign rigid. It came this way from the seller.
