This item is an antique apple peeler, stamped MFG by Hudson Parer Co. Leominster, Mass. Pat Jan 24, 1882. (132 years ago if anyone's keeping track). Still works fine and the blade is still there and can be sharpened. Wal-Mart would not survive if they sold appliances built this well.
