      It is a reproduction of a mid-evil mace.

      I thought the site was interesting, I would have called this a mace, on this site they call it medieval flail, may be it's the same thing.

      It would be a flail but a real flail would have a handle longer than the chain and ball so you wouldn't hit your hand when using it.
      A mace would be a ball at the end of a handle with no chain.
