I got a huge collection of this china from my grandmother some years ago. I have attempted to find out more about it on multiple occasions. I have come up empty each and every time. I have searched photo databases and I cannot seem to find this pattern.
The flowers are purple, yellow and an orange-ish red. The leaves are a light green. Each piece has gold trim and the edges are a ruffled pattern.
The markings on the back vary from the Warwick stamp with the knight in green; a gold stamped "Royal China Warranted 22 KT. Gold" all in uppercase; and a combination of the 2 markings.
If anyone can help shed some light on my set I would be so grateful.
The knight maker’s mark is from Warwick China of Wheeling, West Virginia, and this mark was in use during the 1940-50’s.
Royal China was in Sebring, Ohio with your maker’s mark being used during the same time period. My guess is that Royal purchased blanks from Warwick and then decorated them with their patterns. There was possibly a materials shortage during that oat-war period?
