Is that soapstone Van?
i believe it is carved stone benking
Thanks Van!
Soapstone is a stone.
Or a mixture of soapstone and another stone?
I used to sell a lot of soapstone for the welding industry.
Soapstone is not mixed with other things. It is mostly talc, easily carved, does not transfer heat very well and is slick to the touch.
It does make a good pipe, yours could very well be made from soapstone.
The small bowl opening indicates to me some kind of ceremonial pipe.
very interesting!
thank you for the love and the info pack
